Gwalior – It is a historic city known for its grand forts, palaces, and rich cultural heritage. The Gwalior Fort, often called the "Gibraltar of India," dominates the skyline, while the Jai Vilas Palace showcases royal opulence. The city is also renowned for its association with Tansen, one of India’s greatest musicians.
Orchha – A hidden gem on the banks of the Betwa River, is famous for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the grand Orchha Fort, Chaturbhuj Temple, and cenotaphs (Chhatris) of Bundela kings. The town’s tranquil setting and rich history make it a perfect heritage destination.
Chaderi – It is a historic town known for its exquisite handwoven Chanderi sarees, dating back to the Mughal era. It is dotted with magnificent forts, stepwells, and ancient Jain temples. The Chanderi Fort, Badal Mahal Gate, and Koshak Mahal are must-visit attractions that reflect the town’s glorious past.
Arrive at Gwalior Airport/ railway station. Get transferred to hotel. On arrival check in Hotel and relax. Visit Gwalior Fort, one of the largest forts in India, featuring: Man Singh Palace – Known for its stunning blue-tiled façade. Sas Bahu Temples – Exquisite 11th-century temples. Teli Ka Mandir – A unique Dravidian-style temple. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay in Gwalior.
After breakfast, proceed to full day sightseeing, Explore Jai Vilas Palace Museum, showcasing royal artifacts. Visit Sun Temple (Surya Mandir), inspired by the famous Konark Sun Temple. Evening visit Sound & Light show at Gwalior fort. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay in Gwalior.
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and drive to Jhansi (100 km, approx. 2 hrs). Visit Jhansi Fort, a major site of the 1857 revolt and home to Rani Lakshmibai's legacy. Explore Rani Mahal, a beautifully decorated palace-turned-museum. Later proceed to Orchha. On arrival check into the hotel & relax. Later visit Orchha Fort Complex – Featuring Raj Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, and Sheesh Mahal. Chaturbhuj Temple – Dedicated to Lord Vishnu with grand architecture. Raja Ram Temple – The only temple where Lord Ram is worshipped as a king. In the evening, enjoy a sunset view at the Betwa River Ghat. Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Orchha.
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel & proceed to Chanderi (135 km, approx. 3 hrs). On arrival check into the hotel & relax. Later in evening visit local markets for Chanderi sarees shopping. Overnight stay in Chanderi.
After breakfast go for full day sightseeing of Chanderi visit Chanderi Fort – Offering panoramic views of the town. Kirti Durg & Khooni Darwaza – Historic gateways with interesting legends. Badal Mahal Gate – A unique, towering gateway structure. Enjoy an evening walk through the old town, experiencing its historic charm. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay in Chanderi.
After Breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Madhya Pradesh as your journey ends here. Time to head home; drop at the Gwalior railway station/ airport.

The best time to visit is October to March, when the weather is pleasant for sightseeing. Summers (April-June) can be very hot, while monsoons (July-September) bring moderate rainfall, making landscapes lush and beautiful.
